Training, Workshops and Consultancy

WheelieQueer provides bespoke training, workshops and consultancy focused on Deaf, disabled, neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ inclusion, accessibility, communication and the disability benefits system.

Our Approach

We understand that meaningful inclusion is not achieved through generic “awareness training” or tick-box approaches.

Our workshops are designed to create:

  • accessible and non-judgemental learning spaces

  • opportunities for reflection and discussion

  • practical understanding of real-world barriers

  • confidence in applying inclusive approaches in everyday settings

We encourage participants to ask questions, reflect openly and explore practical solutions collaboratively.

Sessions are adapted around:

  • your organisation and sector

  • audience knowledge levels

  • communication and accessibility needs

  • specific challenges or focus areas

  • lived experiences relevant to your work

Rather than focusing only on theory, workshops aim to help organisations think practically about accessibility, communication, equity and inclusion within their own environments.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

WELLCOME COLLECTION

WheelieQueer helped staff understand the real-world impact of disability benefits and workplace inequity.

Participants reflected that they now understand they have an active role to play in creating a more equitable working environment.

Jasper creates an inclusive and non-judgemental space for people to learn and think deeply and practically about equity

ASSOCIATION OF LIPSPEAKERS WITH ADDITIONAL SIGN (ALAS)

The impact of the training has been significant. More lipspeakers now identify as LGBT+ allies, are sharing their learning with colleagues, and are confidently working at LGBT+ events and within inclusive spaces.

Jasper demonstrated an exceptional ability to present rich and highly relevant information to a diverse audience, whilst maintaining a positive, welcoming and safe learning environment throughout.
