DeafExpo Resources and Accessible Formats

WheelieQueer aims to make information as accessible, flexible and low-pressure as possible.

Many Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people experience barriers when accessing information at events, particularly in busy or overwhelming environments.

We understand that everyone processes information differently, and you are welcome to access resources in whichever way works best for you.

That’s why we’ve created a series of accessible resources to help you process the information at our stand in the format that best suits you.

Can't find a format that suits you? Let us know!

Access in every format

Where possible, we aim to use:

  • clear layouts and spacing

  • accessible fonts

  • hight contrast colours

  • plain and practical language

  • reduced jargon and explain terms

We adapt the process, not just the information. You don’t need to mask your needs or change how you communicate — we’ll meet you where you are.
